Victim's vehicle stolen in Auburn Bay shooting, police say

Police are on the hunt for two suspects after a shooting in the southeast Calgary neighbourhood of Auburn Bay on Monday night.

UPDATE: Calgary police say the victim's black Toyota Highlander has been located.

Police are on the hunt for two suspects and a stolen vehicle after a shooting in the southeast Calgary neighbourhood of Auburn Bay Monday night. 

Police responded to Auburn Meadows Green S.E. around 5 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where a man was found suffering from serious injuries.

The victim was rushed to hospital in stable condition.

Police say, shortly before the shooting occurred, two men unknown to the victim approached him as he was parking his 2012 Toyota Highlander in an alley.

The victim got involved in an altercation with the two offenders after getting out of his vehicle.

Police say the two suspects fled the scene — one in the victim's Highlander, while the other fled in another vehicle, which was possibly green in colour.

Police are still working to determine accurate descriptions of the suspects.
