KateWinslet's period pieceA Little Chaoshas been selected to close the39thToronto International Film Festival, according to organizers who released today a partial list of movies slated to premiere.

TIFF CEO and director Piers Handlingand artistic director Cameron Bailey made the announcement at a news conference Tuesday in Torontooutlining the13 galas and 46 special presentations selected so far.

The list isjust a fraction of the more than 300 films expected to screen at the annual festival in September.

WhileWinslet'sattendance at TIFF hasn't been confirmed, it's likely the Oscar-winning actorwill appear for the closing-nightgala of AlanRickman'sA Little Chaos.

The historical dramawillget the full red carpet gala treatmentatRoy Thomson Hall on Sept.13.

Festival-goers will have to wait a little longer to find out which film will be honoured to open the festival.

Bailey told reporters thatfestival programmers arestill working on confirming the opening night gala.

Big films canbring big stars

Last year's festival attracted 432,000 visitorsand an array of stars,and this year promises to be no different.

Stars with films in this year's festival includeRobert Downey Jr.,Kate Winslet,Jennifer Aniston,Andrew Garfield,Kevin Costner,Octavia Spencer,Denzel Washington,Anthony Michael Hall,Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Vanessa Redgrave, Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo, Jason Bateman, Robert Duvall, Billy Bob Thornton, Vera Farmiga, JulianneMoore and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Reese Witherspoon is also likely to attend. The 38-year-old actress has two films in the festival, each directed by a CanadianWild directed by Jean-Marc Valle and The Good Lie,directed byPhilippe Falardeau.

  • The Equalizer directed by Antoine Fuqua, U.S., world premiere.
  • Maps to the Stars directed byDavid Cronenberg, Canada/Germany, North American premiere.
  • The New Girlfriend directed byFranois Ozon, France, world premiere.
  • Pawn Sacrifice directed byEd Zwick, U.S., world premiere.
  • The Riot Club directed byLone Scherfig, U.K., world premiere.
  • Samba Olivier directed byNakache and Eric Toledano, France, world premiere.
  • This is Where I Leave You directed byShawn Levy, U.S., world premiere.

More titles will be announced throughout the summer, with the Canadian lineup due to be released at a news conferenceon Aug. 6.

The39thfilm festival will be held Sept. 4 to 14.
