Vancouver warehouse fire guts building early Boxing Day

An early morning fire gutted an East Vancouver warehouse on South West Marine Dr.in Vancouver.

Three fire trucks and dozens of firefighters used hoses and foam to douse the fire which forced traffic shutdowns along Oak and Laurel Streets on Boxing Day at about 4 p.m. PT.

The roof of the two-storey warehouse eventually collapsed, changing the tactic to "surround and drown," according to witness Ryan Stelting.
