This is the latest incident

This has been one of several incidents of people falling or sliding off ledges at Hamilton parks this year.

In July, a man in his 50s died after falling into a Ravine at Albion Falls. In June, a 25-year-old Toronto man died after falling into Devil's Punchbowl.

In February, a 21-year-old slid down a patch of ice and went over a 12-metre cliff at Albion Falls. Corey Dixon suffered serious injuries and called on the city to put up a fence to prevent this type of thing from happening again.

Tom Jackson, Ward 6 councillor, will meet with emergency services and others later this month to see how Albion Falls can be made a safer destination for visitors. It's not yet clear what, if any, new safety measures will be put into place at Albion Falls, or other conservation areas around the city.
