P.E.I. remembers: Remembrance Day ceremonies on the Island

Prince Edward Islanders from tip to tip will be honouring the service of Canada's veterans Friday morning.

Charlottetown

Thousands typically gather for this event at the cenotaph outside Province House.

The veterans' parade will leave the Legion at 10:37 a.m., with the ceremony at the cenotaph at 11 a.m.

Summerside

The Island's western capital will hold its ceremony at Credit Union Place.

The doors will open at 10 a.m.

Stratford

The service will be held at Stratford Town Centre, starting at 10:45 a.m.

A reception will follow.

Wellington

The commemoration ceremony in P.E.I.'s Evangeline region will begin with a 9 a.m. mass at Immaculate Conception Church. The veterans' parade will form at 10:45 a.m. outside the Legion with an 11 a.m. ceremony at the cenotaph.

There will be dozens of other ceremonies in smaller communities all across the Island.

CBC P.E.I. will livestream the Charlottetown ceremony, starting at 10:45 a.m.
