Love may be a many splendored thing, but it can also be a tormentor, a thief and a cheat. We all have stories that prove one theory or anotherand by sharing these stories we can discover our common humanity.

Northern Irish playwright Mick Gordon's play On Love brings together a whole host of characters and their thoughts on amore, all played by four gifted Winnipeg actors. This one is billed as a "verbatim play," meaning it is a compilation of true stories told by real people in their own words.

Each of the actorstake on several roles spanning different genders, ages and sexual orientations. Their tales of woe, joy, heartbreak, deception, and wonder string together to create a treatise on love.

Some subtle and masterful stage direction moves the actors from scene to scene as they change characters, which did have me confused a few times, but only briefly.
