White Christmas in the cards for Calgary after Environment Canada snow warning

It looks like Calgary will definitely see a white Christmas this year.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the city, saying a cold frontis expected to drop 15 to 25 centimetres of snow from Tuesday afternoon toWednesday evening.

A low pressure system is expected to movein from the Pacific coast on Tuesday morning.

Meteorologists say southwesternAlberta will see the most snow, with 25 to 40 centimetres possible in Canmore, Kananaskis, Pincher Creek, Cardston, Crowsnest Pass, Fort Macleod and Waterton Lakes National Park.

The agency saidthe cold spell will bring an end to the unseasonably warm weather southern Alberta has been experiencing recently.

Calgary has seen very little snow so far, with highs averaging between 5 and 15 C.
