An unprecedented outbreak in Newfoundland of the coronavirus variant originally found in the U.K. holds lessons for the rest of Canada. CBC St. John's reporter Peter Cowan talks about what those lessons are.

Newfoundland and Labrador is back in full lockdownafter seeing a record number of new COVID-19 cases in the last week. A scheduled provincial election switchedto mail-in ballots only 12 hours before people were supposed to go to the polls. The new cases involve the coronavirus variant that first appeared in the U.K.
