Steve MacKinnon re-elected in Gatineau riding

Liberal Steve MacKinnon has been re-electedinthe riding of Gatineau.

Liberal SteveMacKinnon has been re-electedinthe riding of Gatineau.

CBC projectsMacKinnonsucceededat securing the riding for a third time he first took in 2015 from the NDP inwhat was considered one of the largest surprises of that election, then again in 2019 whenhewon with 52 per cent of the vote.

Genevive Nadeau, the Independence and environmental activist, ran forthe Bloc Qubcois.

The riding had seven other candidates:

  • The Rhinoceros Party's Sbastien Grenier.
  • Green Party candidate Rachid Jemmah.
  • Luc Lavoiefor the Free Party.
  • FernandaRengelas the NDP candidate.
  • Mathieu St-Jeanfor the People's Party.
  • Pierre Soublireof the Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada.
