Rawi Hage is a Montreal-based writer whose books include the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award winner De Niro's Game.

Rawi Hageis a Montreal-based writer whosedebut novel,De Niro's Game,won the prestigious IMPAC Dublin Literary Award in 2008 and launched his career on an international stage.Hage'ssecond book,Cockroach,received the Hugh MacLennan Prize for fiction and was defended by Samantha Bee on Canada Reads in 2014.His 2012 novel,Carnival,was a finalist for the Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prize.

Hage is also a photographer. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon, later moved to New York and haslivedin Montreal since 1992.

His most recent novel,Beirut Hellfire Society,was on the shortlistfor thethe Rogers Writers' Trust Fiction Prizeand the Governor General's Literary Award for fiction.
