Samuel Archibald is a Montreal-based short story writer. His debut collection of short stories entitled Arvida which is also the name of Archibald's hometown in Quebec was nominated for the 2015 Scotiabank Giller Prize and was a finalist in Combat des Livres2013, defended byBernard Landry. The book was translated from French to English by Donald Winkler.
