The Alberta plant at the centre of an E. coli scare is being allowed to resume limited operations. However the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says no meat will leave the XL Foods meat packing plant in Brooks until the agency has approved a full reopening. The plant was shut down on September 27th. The plant closure was put in place due to an ever expanding recall of XL's beef products across Canada and more than 20 other countries.
    
Vancouver Canucks fans are taking out their frustrations on social media, against Justin Bieber fans who defaced a memorial wall for former Canuck Rick Rypien. The wall used to hold messages of condolence for Rypien, who committed suicide last year. It was vandalized by Bieber fans, after the pop superstar's concert last night in Vancouver.
       
The former president of the B.C. Yukon Command of the Royal Canadian Legion says the federal government's announcement to allow veterans full access to their disability benefits is a good first step. David Sinclair says the change means he and other veterans with disabilities will receive thousands of dollars more a year.
