Nova Scotia Wine

When you think of Nova Scotian delicacies you may think of seafood first. But what about a touch of the local grape to go with that fish dinner? That may sound unusual but it turns out that the soil, the climate, and the ocean breezes have all contributed to a growing wine industry in the province.

A lot has happened since the Jost family of Malagash produced their first wine twenty five years ago. Today there are 10 wineries with more on the way. The winemakers have a dream. They want to transform their Nova Scotia vineyards into wine country... an east coast coast Napa Valley or Niagara.
