Aug 9, 2015 50 Years Old
It was1964.
The year Muhammad Ali won the World Heavy Weight title. The year The Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan show. The year Newfoundland and Labrador's Land and Sea was born.
It was a different province then. Trains were still running across the island, the sound of make and break engines still echoed in most harbours, and salt fish was still king.
Television was different too. It was the era of black and white film. In the first of our 50th anniversary specials, we asked former host Dave Quinton to take us back to that time...when Land and Sea was young.
