Akiel Julien was born in Grenada and grew up in Toronto, Canada. He attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, where he majored in Musical Theatre and the Drama Intensive Program, graduating with honors. Soon after graduation, Akiel booked his first recurring role for TV on Family Channels hit drama and dance series The Next Step. Since then, hes made a few other appearances on reputable shows such as the Boys Story developed by Seth Rogan, Evan Goldberg and Erin Kripke, Wayne - Written by the writers of Deadpool, Canadas Frankie Drake etc. Whenever Akiel isnt in front of the camera he spends his days dancing and kicking it with family.
