Hlne Joy

Audiences around the world recognize Hlne Joy from CBCs #1 drama series, Murdoch Mysteries, now in its fourteenth season. Hlne received three Canadian Screen Award nominations as Best Actress in a Leading Role category for her role as the progressive coroner and psychiatrist Dr. Julia Ogden and was a Top 5 Fans Choice Award finalist in 2016 and 2017.

In addition, Hlne received acclaim for her role as Audrey Sweeney in the series Durham County, including a Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role. She was nominated again for the same award and the Outstanding Actress Golden Nymph award at the Monte-Carlo TV Festival in 2011 and 2012.

Hlne became a part of the CBC family from her two seasons on the hilarious award-winning comedy series An American in Canada for which she and her fellow cast received a Gemini for Best Comedy Program or Series. Hlne was also nominated for her first Gemini, Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Series.

Hlne continues to lend her talents to numerous film and television projects across the United States and Canada, including her starring role in At the Bottom Of The Hill, a short film by Montreal director Vanya Rose. She is also the voice in a number of television animation series in Canada, Australia and the UK. Hlne won a Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Female for Feature Length Drama for her performance in Desolation Sound. 

Most recently, Hlne will be starring in the soon to be released independent feature film WOMAN IN CAR, for which she also serves as an Executive Producer.
