Katie was born and raised in the Toronto area. Noting that she will perform for anybody who will watch, Katies parents enrolled her in "Twinkle Toes" ballet at the age of 4, and by 6 her sassy personality found her dancing on a competitive team. Katie danced competitively for years, winning numerous awards. She continues to train in all genres including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Acro. Most recently, Katie has taken up training in circus acrobatics and silks. She continues to take workshops in both dance and acting. Katie is absolutely thrilled to have joined the cast of The Next Step in season 6 and she continues in the role of Lily in season 7.
