Lachlan Murdoch

Lachlan Murdoch was born in Vancouver, British Columbia into a family of performers. His first ever job came when he was but two years old; cast in a commercial for "Fisher Price Baby Shampoo." He worked steadily as a child in many different productions including fan favourite episodes of The X Files "Home" and "The Jersey Devil, The Outer Limits "Tempests" and "Promised Land," and Stargate SG-1 "Learning Curve."

Other notable appearances include: Disney's The Santa Clause, The Kids in the Hall's Brain Candy, and FX's highly acclaimed movie Sins of the Father, where Lachlan would meet many future key crew members of Murdoch Mysteries. During this time Lachlan also lent his voice to numerous animated television shows and radio commercials and even a video game.

Lachlan moved to Toronto permanently in 2002, where he finished school and went on to win his role as Henry Higgins on CBC's massively popular Murdoch Mysteries. Other recent appearances include FX's The Strain and the recurring role of Adam on BBC America's Copper. Last year Lachlan made his on stage debut in the Yukon, learning to sing and play banjo for a run in The Frantic Follies, a vaudeville revue.

Little known fact: Lachlan is a trained and certified chef and enjoys cooking for friends and family very much.
