Meg Roberts - CBC Media Centre

Meg Roberts

Meg Roberts is an award winning journalist who grew up on a farm located outside the most southern city in Canada. While finishing her education at the University of Windsor, she got her start as a video journalist at CBC Windsor in 2016 but later traded the sunglasses in for rain boots as she moved to Canadas most easterly city to work for CBC Newfoundland and Labrador.

In 2022 she moved to Toronto to work amongst the skyscrapers in Canada's largest city. A year later she has made her way back home to host CBC Windsor News at 6 while Katerina Georgiva is off on parental leave.

Meg has also had the opportunity to work with CBC Sports since 2020. In the summer of 2021 she went to the Tokyo Olympics as a field producer and in the winter of 2022 she worked as a digital host for the Beijing Olympics.

Meg is a recipient of two RTDNA awards, one for a story highlighting hidden cemeteries in Windsor-Essex that hold rich Underground Railroad history and the other a story on the impacts of climate change on Indigenous communities in the northern part of Newfoundland and Labrador.

When she's not chasing stories, Meg can be found eating Essex County corn, listening to Motown music from Detroit stations floating across airwaves and biking along the Chrysler Canada Greenway.

As a journalist, she is inspired everyday by the strength, resilience and uniqueness that Canadians possess and is honoured to be able to share their stories country-wide.
