Shanice Banton

Shanice Banton is a Canadian actress best known for her work on the Emmy-nominated teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, in which she starred for three seasons. Notable film and television appearances include a supporting lead role in the critically acclaimed Jesse Owens biopic Race (2016), a starring role in Lifetimes Her Stolen Past (2017) and recurring role of Violet Hart on Murdoch Mysteries (Seasons 11, 12 and 13). Shanice trained as a drama and musical theatre student at Torontos Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. She is currently based in Toronto.
