CBC LEADS THE 2016 CANADIAN SCREEN AWARDS WITH 164 NOMINATIONS

The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced today that CBC has received 164 nominations for the2016 Canadian Screen Awards. The nominations include 156 for CBC Television and another eight for Digital Media, reflecting CBC’s ongoing commitment to providing high quality programming to Canadians across multiple platforms.
Hosted by comedy legend Norm MacDonald, the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards will be broadcast live on CBC-TV at 8 p.m. (8:30 p.m. NT) on Sun, March 13, 2016. Leading up to the broadcast, Canadians can share their thoughts on the nominees with CBC on Twitter@CBCusing #CdnScreen16.
