SCOUT & THE GUMBOOT KIDS is a show about mindfulness and nature for children. The show features Scout, a curious mouse who leads the Gumboot Kids through a series of clues that take them outdoors to solve nature mysteries.

SCOUT & THE GUMBOOT KIDS invites children to experience the wonders of nature in a mindful way. In each episode, Scout devises a nature mystery and encourages children to go outside, get their hands dirty and solve a nature mystery. He's mentor, maestro and bundle of fun as he connects the Gumboot Kids playfully--and mindfully--with the great outdoors. The series inspires children to get outside and it gives them ideas about how to engage with nature once they're there.

Mixing the magic of traditional stop motion animation with CGI animation and live action, each episode of SCOUT & THE GUMBOOT KIDS has a tactile artistic and visually rich take on the natural world. The visual style and bursts of lively original music contribute to the joyfulness, curiosity and delight that infuse this series.

A key element of the show is the concept of mindfulness. Mindfulness is described as the gentle effort to be present in an open and non-judgemental way. Mindfulness practices for children include activities that require focused attention on moment-to-moment experiences such as the sensations of breathing, sound or body movement. It encourages attention to the senses and fosters a curiosity about the world. Scout & The Gumboot Kids uses mindfulness practice as a means of fostering curiosity and a sense of connection with nature.
