Actor and musician Keanu Reeves has reunited with his grunge band, Dogstar, for the group's first album and tour in more than 20 years.

"We are so excited to announce our new albumSomewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Treesout on October6on our label Dillon Street Records," the band announced on Instagram.

The tour includes over 25 dates with one Canadian showat Toronto's Lee's Palace on Dec. 9.

Last month, Dogstarperformed live at BottleRockNapa Valley music festival and teased that new music was on the way. They followed up the performancewith a headlining show at the Roxy Theatrein Los Angeles on July 18, and shared that a new single, "Everything Turns Around," would be released on July 19.

"It has an uplifting message and a positive vibe that hopefully makes your day a little bit lighter," the band told Consequence of Sound about the new song."It's one of our favourite songs to play live and can't wait to share it on our upcoming tour."

Dogstaroriginallyformed in 1994, with Reeves playingbass,Bret Domroseas the guitarist-vocalist andRob Mailhouse on drums. They released an album, Happy Endings, in 2000, before splitting up in 2002.
