Eagles of Death Metal want to be 1st to play Bataclan music hall after Paris attacks

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes says he wants his band to be the first to play in the Bataclan nightclub in Paris when it re-opens.

'Our friends went there to see rock and roll and died. I'm going to go back there and live'

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes says he wants hisband to be the first to play in the Bataclan nightclub in Paris when it re-opens.

Hughes toldVice, "Our friends went there to see rock and roll and died. I'm going to go back there and live."

Three gunmen killed 89 people in the club during the Eagles of Death Metal show on Nov. 13.

Hughes broke down during the interview, saying he felt so guilty for leaving his bandmates on stage.

Bassist Matt McJunkins saidhe was trapped in a room near the stage with some fans with only a champagne bottle as a weapon, and the room started flooding.

Bandmate Josh Hommewas not touring with the band and was in Los Angeles at the time.

Homme saidthey plan to finish the tour. He encouragedany music act to cover their song I Love You All The Timeand the band will donate all proceeds from the sales to the victims.
