San Diego's Comic-Con: The latest news, from Justice League to Captain Marvel

San Diego's Comic-Con Internationalwasa colourful mix of dedicated comic fans, and atreasure trove of upcoming film trailers and new projects in the works.

So much usually comesout of this one weekendthat it's hard to keep up with it all. So here's your one-stop shop for staying on top ofthe latest film and television news, revealed at this year'sinternational convention.

Let's start with DC Comics' Justice League, which is probably facing some of the highest stakes to win over audiences after the polarizing and broodingBatman v. Superman.

The upcoming film, starring Ben Affleck as Batman,Ezra Miller as the Flash, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, andHenry Cavill as Superman all showed up to promote the film, which appears to have a much lighter take on the mashup.

You can judge for yourself in the teaser below, shown for the first time at Comic-Con on Saturday.

Audiences also got a sneak peek at Wonder Woman, a female-led superhero film starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, which is set to hit theatres next year. Considering the character has been around for 75 years, it's about time!

Wonder Woman isn't the only female hero who took centre stage at the convention.

Marvel revealed that Brie Larson, who won an Academy Award this year for her role in Room about a mother and son being held captive, is set to play Carol DanversinCaptain Marvel.

It's the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be led by a superheroine, but it'll still be awhile before it hits the big screen. Captain Marvel has a release date of 2019.

While Marvel comics have long reflecteddiversity in their storylines, the film versionshave been slow to catch up.Perhaps the universe is starting to expand.

Marvel's Black Panther revealed a stellar cast that includes Creed's Michael B. Jordan and 12 Years A Slave Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o. ChadwickBoseman, who also stars in the upcoming movie, set for release in 2018, posted the photo below.

BenedictCumberbatch's Doctor Strangehas had its share ofcontroversy when it comes to staying true to characters' backgrounds.Marvel took some heat after it cast Tilda Swintonas a character that's supposed to be aTibetan male in the comics.The star-studded cast,which also includesSpotlight'sRachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who played the lead characterin 12 Years A Slave,presented a second trailer for the film, due out in November.
