TIFF 2015: How much does TIFF really cost moviegoers?

From $2 in 1976 to $25 today, the cost of a Toronto International Film Festival movie screening has skyrocketed since the days of the first Festival of Festivals. Still, that doesn't discourage the thousands of fans who attend each year. We asked some of them to share their TIFF 2015 bill with us.

From $2 in 1976to $25 today, the cost of an averageToronto International Film Festival movie screening has skyrocketed since the days of the first Festival of Festivals. Still, that doesn't discourage the thousands of movie fans who support the industry, nor thestargazers gathered on the red carpet year after year. We asked some of them to share their TIFF 2015 bill with us.

Transportation: $160($20/day for parking)

Food: $150 (light meals and snacks)
Housing: $800 (threenights in a downtown hotel)
