Wi-LAN shares up after settling Dell patent dispute
Shares in patent licensing company Wi-LAN Inc. were up more than eight per cent Monday in trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The 35-cent gain to $4.60 a share comes after Wi-LAN signed an agreement to settle patent litigation with Dell.
Wi-LAN says litigation between the two companies will be dismissed.
Dell has obtained a licence from Wi-LAN to a subset of wireless patents for some wireless products.
Wi-LAN has a portfolio of more than 3,000 issued or pending patents to companies globally for a wide range of consumer electronics products.
