CBC to host Alberta party leaders' debate, live chat

Join us Thursday night to watch the Alberta election leaders' debate live and weigh in on our online chat.

Progressive Conservative Leader Alison Redford, Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith, Liberal Leader Raj Sherman and NDP Leader Brian Mason will face-off on the issues facing Albertans during thismuch anticipated event.

The 1 hourdebatewill be live-streamedright here on our websiteand broadcast on CBC Radio One starting at 6:30 p.m. MT.

As you watch and listen, join our live chat with alberta@noon host Donna McElligott and CBC Reporter Scott Dippel, who will be on hand and at their keyboards to provide analysis and answer your questions.

The debate will be replayed on CBC Television from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. If thehockey gameends after 8:30 p.m., CBCwill join the broadcast in progress.

Several broadcasters will air the event live, and it will be hosted at Global Edmonton studios.

The CBC will also be hosting another leaders' forum on Thursday, April 19, from noon to 1 p.m.
