150 tires slashed overnight in North Vancouver

The RCMP are investigating a tire slashing spreein North Vancouver.

More than 150 tires were slashed overnight in the Capilano University area down to Park and Tilford according to police.

Tirestores in North Vancouver have been overwhelmed with demand for replacementsand tow truck drivers have been called in from as far as Squamish, B.C..

North Vancouver RCMP say they continue to receive complaints and are advising motorists to check their tires before setting out. They are also asking for the public's help inidentifying suspects.

Anyone whonoticedanything suspicious overnight, or who has had their own tires slashed is asked to contactthe North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or Crime Stoppers online.
