Another teenager has been shot in Abbotsford, just two days after a young man was gunned down in the B.C. city.

The latest shooting happenedin the 2700 block of Mitchell Street just before 4 a.m. on Sunday. The 18-year-old victim was taken to hospital for treatment, but Abbotsfordpolice say his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

"This is an 18-year-old who is known to police, and certainly at this point everything we have indicates that this is a targeted shooting," Const. Ian MacDonaldsaid.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said Sunday afternoon that there is no evidence connecting the violence withFriday's shooting in the same city, which took the life of 18-year-old Jaspreet Sidhu.

MacDonaldis encouraging members of the public to report anything out of the ordinary.

"I think any community, if you end up having two shootings in just a couple of days, that's reason for concern in and of itself, but certainly the two most recent incidents we've had appear to be targetedand obviously despite general concerns it would appear that the victims and the suspects are known to each other," he said.

No arrests have been made in either incident.
