Amanda Todd memorial plaque stolen from mother's home

The mother of Amanda Todd, the PortCoquitlam teenager who killedherself after being bullied online, says she is "horrified" and "shocked" someone has stolen a garden plaque honouring her daughter's memory.

Carol Todd says she purchased thestone plaque which reads "A beautiful soul is never forgotten"shortly after Amanda died in October 2012. It satnext to a snowflake tree that was planted in her memory.

Now the plaque is nowhere to be found.

"I asked my family members if they had removed it or if someone had actually broken it and they said, 'Nowe didn't touch it.' And I know that I haven't touched it. So theonly other answer would be that someone has walked away with it," Todd told CBC News.

Todd says the plaque is notexpensive,but it hastremendous sentimental value.

"It was something I've had for the past two-and-half years, and it makes me sad that someone would actually do this and intentionally do this, like takesomething from someone else."

Amanda was 15 when she took her own life. She explained in an YouTube video that she had been blackmailed by an online predator after exposing her breasts in front of a web cam.

A 35-year-old man was arrested in the Netherlands in January 2014. He now faces several charges in B.C., includingextortion,Internet luring, criminal harassment and the possession and distribution of child pornography.

Todd is asking whoever may have taken the plaque to return it no questions asked.
