Boat squatters called 'bad neighbours' by inlet residents

Starting in2004, Vancouver began evicting boaters that were mooring too long in False Creek. Now, it seems, the problem has moved around the corner.

Waterfront users and residents in Port Moody say some long-term liveaboards are being bad neighbours, dumping fuel and even sewage.

Burrard Inlet waters fall under the jurisdiction of the federal government, but theport authority says it won't remove boats unless they are blocking the channel or polluting. And it hasn't received complaints of either situation yet, the CBC's Theresa Lalonde reports.
