VancouverCanuck fans haven't had much to cheer about lately, but at a Vancouver Board of Trade luncheon Tuesday, Canucks president Trevor Linden held out hope for a more entertaining experience for fans after a summer of rebuilding.

"We need to bring that hope back and recapture some of these guys who didn't have great years and put some fun back in the game and ultimately make Rogers Arena a better place," he said.

The team is a thousand tickets short of meeting its sales target and there is no longer an assumption the support will be there.

Management is promising the overall entertainment experience will be enhanced including improvements tothe food and alcoholsold at games.

Linden and new Canucks coach Willie Desjardinssaythe team will better too.
