Four men are in custody after a pairof violent robberies half an hour apart in Vancouver on Christmas Day.

Vancouver police Sgt. Randy Finchan said around 7:30 p.m. PT, two men brandishing weapons went into the Hot Delivery Restaurant at 3002 Cambie St.and ordered everyone to the floor.

A man was struck in the head and a woman suffered a cut to the head as the thieves ransacked the restaurant for valuables, Fincham said.

A half hour later, the alleged bandits struck again.

As customers were sitting down for Christmas dinner at the Truong Thanh Vietnamese Restaurant at 2096 Kingsway Avenue, two armed men burst through the doors demanding everyone's valuables, according to Fincham.

Thirty minutes later, Fincham said, police spotted the getaway car near East Broadway and Boundary Road and followed it to theGrandview Highway and Willingdon Avenue where it was blocked in by police cars.

Four men between the ages of 17 and 34 were arrested and are facing robbery and weapons-related charges.
