Water poured into a parking garage at about 8:30 p.m. PT under one building as the hole turned into a small lake, forcing crews to work overnight Tuesday torepair the damaged street and pump out water.

It's unclear what caused the burst main. City crewsworked to clean it up well into the morning, warning commuters the road was down to one lane.
