Driver beaten in road-rage incident

A carpet cleaner from New Westminster was beaten in a bizarre case of road rage while driving to a client's home in Mission on Tuesday.

A carpet cleaner from New Westminster was beaten in a bizarre case of road rage while driving to a client's home in Mission on Tuesday.

Kyle Solberg says another driver became enraged when he felt the carpet cleaning van had cut him off.

Solberg says the man followed him to the job site, with wife and child in tow and then left.

Minutes later, Solberg says the man returned in a truck with a friend, entered the home and began beating him in front of an elderly couple.

Solberg says he didn't get the man's licence plate number, and says that's something he should have done.

"You know what? Write down licence plates. Think of those little things, instead of getting angry, and make sure that you've got your bases covered," he says.

"So that if something does escalate, at least you'll have some course of action or some information to provide to the authorities."

Solberg's employer, Nationwide Carpets, is offering a $2000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the attacker.
