Feeding bear gets Whistler visitors fined

B.C. conservation officers have fined two Whistler visitors for feeding a black bear after someone photographed them tossing food out their car window.

Conservation officers tracked down the offenders after someone snapped a photo

B.C.'s Conservation Officer Service posted this photo of two people feeding a bear from their car. The pair was fined $345 under the Wildlife Act.

B.C. conservation officers have fined two Whistler visitors for feeding a black bear after someone photographed them tossing food out their car window.

The pair, who are originally from Kamloops, were spotted feeding the bear on the side of Callaghan Road.

A passerby snapped a photo and sent it to the Conservation Officer Service, who tracked down the pair.

The two were fined $345 under the Wildlife Act for intentionally feeding dangerous wildlife, according to a post on the COS Facebook page.
