2 people in hospital after Fraser Street hit-and-run

The two victims, a 25-year-old woman from Surrey and a 35-year-old man from Vancouver, have non-life threatening injuries.

Vancouver police are searching for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run on Fraser Street early Monday.

The crash happened near the intersection of Fraser Street and East 19th Avenue just after midnight.

Const. Jason Doucette said the vehicle hit the two victims, a 25-year-old woman from Surrey and a 35-year-old man from Vancouver. They wererushed to hospital.

Police said while both sustained injuries, their lives are not at stake. The driver of the vehicle did not stay at the scene.

VPD collision investigators were at the scene gathering evidence for several hours overnight.

Police have not provided a description of thevehicle.
