Grizzly bear unfazed by barking dog captured by conservation officers

A grizzly bear caught on video enjoying fruit from a tree while ignoring a barking dog has been captured.

A grizzly bear caught on videoenjoying fruit from a tree while ignoring a barking doghas been captured.

B.C. Conservation Service said on Twitter the 600-poundbear was caught near Sechelt, B.C. and has been relocated.

"It is the same bear that was depicted in the video with the dog barking and the bear was captured live," saiddeputy chief Chris Doyle of the B.C. Conservation Officer Service.

"A number of traps had been set for it."

Many on social media found the encounter funny, butthe grizzly's presence is a concern toconservation officers.

The bear has been relocated, the conservation service added, becausegrizzlies do not normally liveon the Sunshine Coast.

There were multiple sightings of the bear inSecheltthis week. The grizzly had alsokilled a local black bear.
