Homeless man randomly attacked: Burnaby RCMP
One teenager is in custody andpolice arelooking for two more suspects after an attack on a homeless man in Burnaby late Friday night.
A witness called police at approximately 2 a.m. PT after seeing three people attack a man in the underground parking lot of an apartment building near Boundary Road and Hastings Street.
Cpl. Alexandra Mulvihill said the 44-year-old victim was badly beaten in what appears to have been a random attack.
"He suffered a broken arm and a puncture wound to his abdomen area, and it is believed that puncture wound was as a result of, probably, what were either nails or staples of some sort inside a piece of wood that he was assaulted with," Mulvihill said.
One teenage male was arrested inthe assault, but police are still looking for a man and woman who fled the scene.
The male suspect is described as weighing about 190 pounds and wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt. The female is described as being about 17 years old and chubby.
