Iron Maiden's Ed Force One lands at Vancouver International Aiport

Aviation geeks and head-bangers were excited to welcome Iron Maiden's themed-plane into Vancouver. The heavy metal band plays at Rogers Arena as part of The Book of Souls world tour.

Iron Maiden and aviation fans had their eyes on the sky Saturday.

The heavy metal band's private plane carrying band members, crew and gear landed at Vancouver International Airport at 3:30 p.m. PT in advance ofIron Maiden's concert atRogers Arena as part of The Book of Souls world tour.

The plane isdubbed Ed Force One after the band's mascot Eddie, whose face ispainted on the Boeing jet's tail.

Its pilot is likely one of the most famous in the world the band'slead vocalist Bruce Dickinsonhasa commercial pilot's licence.

According to the band's website, the plane is on loan from Air Atlanta and was last in Edmonton.
