Inside B.C. NDP Leader John Horgan's office
The leader of B.C.'s opposition keeps an eclectic mix of mementos that reflect his politics
B.C. NDP leader John Horgan sat down with CBC British Columbialegislative reporter Richard Zussman to offer a behind-the-scenes look at his office and itsmementoes.
One of his most prized possessions: a "punching puppet" of former B.C. premierMikeHarcourt.
"This is still in the package. I could probably get a buck-and-a-half on EBayfor this one," he said, laughing.
Another memento is a hardhat he received when he was the house leader. But Horgan said, unlike B.C. Liberal Leader Christy Clark, the bulk of his experience wearing hard hats comes from working in saw and pulp mills.
"I have worked as a living and I know the challenges of working people," said Horgan.
"Why I joined the NDP is, it was the party of working people, and I maintain that the NDP in 2015 is just as vital to the working class and working people as the NDP of the past." saidHorgan.
