Guilty verdict for man in Burnaby 1-punch manslaughter

A man charged with manslaughter after a single punch caused the death of a 22-year-old man in Burnabyin 2017 has been found guilty.

A trial in B.C. Supreme Court concluded Saturday with a guilty verdict forLawrence Sharpe, 40, in relation to the death of Michael Page-Vincelli.

Sharpe'sgirlfriend,Oldouz Pournouruz, 35, who was also charged with manslaughter, was found not guilty. Both pleaded not guilty.

Sentencing forSharpeis scheduled to take place on May 1, 2019.
