Man arrested in Delta, B.C., following Amber Alert

Police in Delta, B.C., arrested a man at a family home earlythis morning following the issuance of an Amber Alert late Sunday night after a teenager was reported missing.

Police surrounded the home after a green van identified in the Amber Alert was found parked outside the home around 7 a.m. PT.

Delta police then contactedthe maninside the home by telephone and he immediately surrendered without incident.

Themissing teenagerwas found safe inside the home.

Police said the man has a history of mental illness but they were not aware of any criminal record.
