Vancouver does not currently have a category of business license that would enable medical marijuana delivery.

Vancouver city staff say they're scrambling to keep up with the ballooning business of medical marijuana in the city.

"The changes brought in by the federal government in regards to medical marijuana have proven challenging for both the police and municipal governments," said city staff in a written statement.

The city, along with police, firefighters and health officials are working on how to regulate marijuana dispensaries. There are up to 80 of them around the city.
