Marijuana found growing in Vancouver traffic circle disappears

A marijuana plant found growing at a Vancouver traffic circle has been torn out and removed.

It's not clear who pulled up the healthy-looking plant in the centrally located residential areanearOntario Street and20thAvenue. The weed was growing among other plants and flowering shrubs.

The plant's aroma was noticeable, people nearby said. It appeared to be healthy.

"I love it,"nearby resident EricLamondtold CBC News on Monday. "It's a beautiful plant. We should all be enjoying it, right? It's nature."

Another marijuana plant at a traffic circle at Ontario and 19th Avenuehas been left intact.

There was no immediate word from officials on what might become of the Vancouver plant.
