Metro mayors call on provincial politicians to #CureCongestion

The Mayors' Council is calling on all provincial political parties to commit to a 10-year plan to fund Metro Vancouver transit upgrades beyond the announced Surrey LRT and Broadway subway line.

The Mayors' Council is putting the pressure on all provincial political parties to commit to a 10 year plan to fund Metro Vancouver transit upgrades beyond the announced Surrey LRT and Broadway subway line.

"We need to fund the entire 10 year plan to support priorities like replacing the Pattullo Bridge and upgrades toSkyTrainand HandyDART," said Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson.

The#CureCongestioncampaign as it is being called wantsB.C. political parties to state their position on aplan to solve transit overcrowding and road congestion before the May 9 provincial election.
