Missing British tourist asked about North Shore trails

Police in Vancouver are asking the public to help find a missing tourist from England who may have gone for a hike in the North Shore Mountains.

Thomas Billings was last seen in the 1400 block of East Broadway on Nov. 25. He planned to travel to the United States before returning home to the United Kingdom on Dec. 7.

Police say Billings was a seasoned traveller and hiker and asked about areas to hike and visit in the Lower Mainland including the North Shore Mountains, but note there is no conclusive information that he actually made his way to the North Shore.

He is described by police as 22 years old, white, five-foot-seven, about 160 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and grey military style pants.
