Paula McElwee said police made a good start by finding her son Kellen's car on Monday night. Kellen McElwee hasn't been seen since Wednesday night.

"It gives you some sense of relief that they have found the car," McElwee said.

Police found the 2006 silver-coloured four-door Honda Civic onthe 5100 block of Halifax Street inBurnaby just before midnight on Monday.

However, there is still no sign of McElwee, who disappeared March 19 after leaving a restaurant in Langley.

RCMP said that at approximately 9 p.m. on Wednesday night McElwee left the Keg restaurant in Langley and went to his car, which wasparked in the Colossus movie theatre parking lot.

No one has reported seeing him since he left the restaurant, where he was dining with three friends.

Police said the car appears to have been driven using a key and they know of no connection between McElwee and the street where the car was found.

Police said McElwee has a BlackBerry that they hopeto locate.

They are asking that anyone who may have seen McElwee's car between Wednesday and last night to contact police.
