Young boy fighting for life after serious collision in Maple Ridge

The B.C. Ambulance Service says it has flown the patient to hospital in critical condition after the youth was struck by a vehicle near Cottonwood Drive and 116 Avenue in Maple Ridge, B.C.

Ridge Meadows RCMPsays a young boy has been air-lifted to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Maple Ridge.

The B.C. Ambulance Service said the victimis in critical condition after paramedicsarrived on the scene at the11700 block of Cottonwood Drive in Maple Ridge, B.C., near 116 Avenue.

It happened just before 4 p.m. PT.

Police say theyare not releasing any more details about the accident on Sunday.
